Nokia 6 in India Starts Getting Android 8.0 Oreo Beta (How to Get it)


Though it has been over a month since HMD Global (Nokia) rolled out the Android 8.0 Oreo Beta for Nokia 6, it was not available in India at that time. Now, Nokia 6 in India has also starts getting the Android Oreo Beta update via OTA (over the air) and comes with build number 5.140. The update weighs around 1.7GB and will include various new features and latest security patches.

The Oreo software update brings several new features to Nokia 6. For example, users can enjoy Picture-in-Picture, Notification Dots, Autofill passwords, Google Play Protect Security Scans, faster boot up and much more together with December 2017 security patches.

How to get Android Oreo beta on Nokia 6

Firstly, go to Nokia Beta Labs and sign up for a membership. (You can use your Facebook, Google+ or your email address for sign-up).

After sign-in, you will need to input your device’s IMEI number (Settings > About Phone > Status > IMEI Information). Then, enter Network Operator (Settings > About Phone > Status > SIM Status > Network).

Accept the beta software license terms and register for beta labs. After approval, you will get the Oreo Beta OTA (over-the-air) update on your device. (Source)
