Moto G (1st & 2nd Gen) Gets Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA Update in India


After few weeks of Android Lollipop soak test and preview, Motorola has started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA (over the air) update for Moto G (1st and 2nd Gen) in India. All Moto G (1st and 2nd Gen) users will receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA notification on their device shortly.


The new Android 5.0 Lollipop brings new features, lots of customization options new Material Design user interface, performance improvements, extended battery life, smart lock, ambient display, priority mode and many more to your device.

How to Install Android 5.o Lollipop Update on Moto G 2014/2013

For a successful installation, it is recommended installing the update when the battery in your phone is fully charged and you are connected to a Wi-Fi network.

To install the update, once you receive the OTA notification, select “Yes, I’m in”, and then select “Install now”. Once the firmware is installed (it requires little long time), your phone will reboot automatically. Your phone is now updated with lollipop.

Now, if you have not received the OTA notification, check update manually. Go to Settings -> About phone -> System update. If update is found, just install it as described in the first step. Enjoy!.
