LG G5 will be available from April 1 and it comes with LG’s new UX 5.0 user interface and various other new features. Ahead of the LG G5 launch, the Korean company sent out a press release and video detailing its new UX 5.0. It is definitely worth checking out, if you are planning to pre-order the LG G5.
One of the highlighted features of LG UX 5.0 is LG Friends Manager, which lets you easily connect your LG G5 to its accessories or modules, like the new LG 360 Cam. G5 will automatically detect nearby accessories, download and install all the required apps for the accessories from the Google Play Store.
“We analyzed the lifestyle of smartphone users to provide a superior mobile experience and greatly expanded the usability with LG UX 5.0,” said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “LG UX 5.0 and G5 were designed to provide an innovative user experience that reflects the needs of our most demanding customers.”
Another notable feature of the new LG UX 5.0 is disappearing of the App drawer. The LG G5 comes without an App drawer, which LG calling New Home. You can access everything from the home screen, which will enhance your experience. However, there is an option to enable the app drawer.
Another aspect the company is showing off is the new camera app. The new camera app can take a selfie without using you hand or voice command. The Auto Shot feature can auto detect when you are ready for the shot and automatically capture the image. The camera app also features Zoom In & out, Multi View, 360 wallpaper, pop-out picture and film effect.
Other new features in UX 5.0 include Always-on display that displays notification and time, Smart Doctor to keep the LG G5 at its optimal health, a built-in File Manager and more (Source – LG)
