Xiaomi has started rolling out December 2017 Security Patch update for Xiaomi Mi A1 with build number N2G47H 7.12.7. Still based on the Android 7.1.2 Nougat (not Oreo), the update improves the security of the device, so all users should install the update. Xiaomi starts rolling out incremental OTA update, which will available soon. You can also install the update manually by downloading the official N2G47H 7.12.7 OTA update for Mi A1.

Comes to the December security patch, the N2G47H 7.12.7 update requires N2G47H.7.11.18 on your device. If you have not received the update check it manually. Go to Settings > About Phone > Software updates.
How to install December Security Patch on Mi A1 Manually
1. Download (157MB) N2G47H.7.12.7 OTA update with December 2017 security patches for Mi A1.
2. After downloading the update zip file, transfer it to your phone’s internal memory.
3. Now, boot your phone into recovery mode. In recovery, select update from Sd card.
4. Navigate to update zip file and install it. Your phone will reboot automatically after completing the installation.
