CyanogenMod 13 Snapshot build ZNH5Y (stable build) is now available for many devices that bring Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, several new features and latest security patches (August) to supported devices. This new update is available many old devices too, including the good old Galaxy S2 and Galaxy S3, which means you, can enjoy Android Marshmallow on these devices even though the manufacturer stops support for the new OS update.

Besides stability fixes and new features, the CyanogenMod 13 Snapshot build (ZNH5Y) also fixes the recently identified Quadrooter kernel vulnerabilities (a few vulnerabilities not fixed yet, because CyanogenMod does not have source access to resolve them). Also, this new update includes August 5th Android security patches.

CyanogenMod fans can download the latest Snapshot build (stable build) for supported devices from here. If you are running on the previous Snapshot build (ZNH0E), you can flash the new build (ZNH5Y) without wiping data. Other users need a clean install (with wiping data)

Note that, since CyanogenMod ROM does not include Google Apps (Gapps), such as Play Store, Play services, and other apps, you need to download and flash Gapps after installing CyanogenMod ROM. You can download Gapps from here for your device. Check device architecture (arm/arm 64/x86) and firmware version before downloading. (source – CM)
