After being rolled out the first developer preview of Android O – the next major iteration of Android OS – for early adopters, Google now starts Android O beta program. You can now enroll for Android O Beta program to get the OTA update. This is the second developer preview of Android O and brings various new features, visual changes, performance boost and more to supported devices.
Android O Beta program is available for Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C and Nexus Player. Android O DP2 preview image is now available for all eligible devices, which you can install either via OTA or manually. The OTA update will not wipe your device, but manual installation will factory reset your device.
Note that if you signed up for the previous Android N Beta pragma, you need to again sign up for Android O Beta program.
Note that this is a testing version of Android O, so it cannot be used as a daily driver. It includes various bugs and performance issues. It is recommended that inexperienced users wait for the stable build of Android O, which will be released sometimes in Q3 of this year.
