Stable build of Android 7.1.2 Nougat update for Pixel and Nexus devices has been started to roll out with new features, bug fixes and April 2017 security patches. If you are running on the most recent version of OS (Android 7.1.1), you can sideload the OTA update, easily and safely without wiping data and apps. If you are on other Android version or custom ROM, then you need to flash the full firmware, but will wipe all data and apps (factory reset) installed on the phone.
